• Keep the air pump above the AirDome. Mount the pump on a shelf, wall hook, or stand that puts it physically higher than the AirDome inside the pot. If the pump powers off (timer cycle, outage), water can back-siphon through the airline and flood the pump if it is below the dome.
• Match air pump output to AirDome count. Each AirDome wants 15 GPH. A 30 GPH pump comfortably drives two domes; a 60 GPH pump handles four. Under-powered pumps will not bubble enough air to make a difference at the root zone.
• Hold the operating temperature window. 41 – 86 degF (5 – 30 degC) is the AirDome’s rated range. Outdoor winter installs in cold climates may dip below 41 degF at night — pull the pump indoors or insulate the reservoir line.
• Inspect bubble pipe periodically. Perforated bubble pipe can clog over time with mineral scale or root debris. A quick visual check every few weeks confirms the pipe is bubbling evenly across all four segments.

How to Install / Setup

Installing the bundle into a fresh AutoPot square pot takes a few minutes per pot. The same sequence works for a 2.2 gal or a 3.9 gal pot.

1. Unbox and confirm contents. Verify the bundle includes the AirBase Square plate, the AirDome Body, the cross connector, the straight connector, four perforated bubble pipe pieces, the 3.3 ft length of AirDome piping, and the instruction sheet.
2. Decide: AirDome on or off this cycle. If you want to run aeration, pop the central disc out of the AirBase plate by pressing it from below. If you are using the AirBase as a drainage plate only, leave the disc in place.
3. Drop the AirBase into the empty pot. Set the plate flat on the bottom of the pot. It should sit level against the pot floor with the edges touching the inner pot wall on all four sides.
4. (AirDome only) Snap the AirDome Body into the pop-out hole. The dome seats from above, with the body protruding up into the pot and the connector port facing down through the plate.
5. (AirDome only) Assemble the bubble pipe. Push the cross connector onto the underside of the AirDome Body. Cut the 3.3 ft of piping into four roughly equal lengths or follow the instruction-sheet diagram, and slide one perforated bubble pipe piece onto each arm of the cross.
6. (AirDome only) Run the airline out of the pot. Connect the straight connector to the airline feed and route it up the inside of the pot wall and out the top — this is the line that will reach the air pump.
7. Add growing media. Fill the pot with your chosen free-draining substrate over the top of the AirBase. The bubble pipe arms sit on the plate and get buried in the media as you fill.
8. Transplant your plant and hand-water for 1 to 2 weeks. Settle the root ball into the media; firm gently. Hand-water from the top for 7 to 14 days so roots can reach the wicking zone before you switch on the AirDome.
9. Mount the air pump above the AirDome. Place a 15 GPH (or higher) air pump on a shelf, hook, or stand at a height above the rim of the pot. Connect the airline from the pot to the pump output.
10. Wire the pump to a timer on the photoperiod. Use a simple appliance timer (or your room controller) to run the pump on during lights-on and off during lights-off. Verify all four bubble pipe arms are bubbling evenly through the media-water surface.
