1. Start with clean, pH-neutral water. Begin with reverse-osmosis or low-EC tap water. Hard water (above 200 ppm) can interfere with chelated trace elements; consider a base-water buffering product if your source water is high in calcium carbonate.
2. Add Micro first. When using a three-part system, the standard mixing order is Micro first, then Grow or Bloom, then any supplements. Adding Micro first prevents precipitation reactions between concentrated calcium and phosphate sources.
3. Measure with a calibrated syringe. Use a dedicated measuring syringe rather than estimating by eye. Follow the REMO nutrient chart for the specific growth stage and target EC. Start new plants at half the recommended dose and increase gradually.
4. Verify EC and pH after mixing. Target reservoir pH of 5.8–6.2 for hydroponic systems, 6.0–6.8 for soil and coco. If pH is out of range after adding all nutrients, adjust before introducing to the root zone.
