• Plumbing fitment: Standard 3/4" PVC tee fittings (schedule-40 or equivalent). The probe's threaded body and reduced-diameter sleeve are dimensioned for this fitting type. Installations using different pipe diameters or non-threaded ports will require an adapter or a different probe.
• Solution type: Suitable for hydroponic nutrient solutions as used in recirculating and drip-feed systems. The probe is designed for submersion in nutrient-bearing water, not dry or air environments.

Installation Guidelines

The PPH-3 is designed for permanent inline installation. The following steps reflect the probe's design as described in product documentation. Refer to TrolMaster's module instructions for wiring and calibration procedures specific to your AMP-2 or AMP-3.

1. Select your tee fitting location. Identify a standard 3/4" PVC tee fitting on your irrigation or recirculating line where solution flow will reliably contact the probe tip. A location on the return line or after the last emitter is common in recirculating setups.
2. Shut off flow. Close the valve or turn off the pump serving the line section where you are installing the probe to avoid pressure and spillage during fitting.
3. Thread in the probe. Insert the PPH-3 into the tee fitting's threaded port. The reduced-diameter sleeve is sized for the standard 3/4" tee. Hand-tighten, then snug with a wrench — do not overtighten or you may crack the PVC fitting.
4. Route the cable to the module. Run the probe cable to your AMP-2 or AMP-3 nutrient sensor module. Avoid sharp bends or routing near heat sources. Secure the cable with clips or ties to prevent strain on the probe connection.
5. Connect to the AMP-2 or AMP-3. Plug the PPH-3 into the pH sensor port on your nutrient sensor module following the module's wiring diagram.
